Nursery Fees & Funded Hours – From September 2025
Government Funded Hours
- From September 2025, eligible working parents can receive: – 🎓 30 funded hours per week (ages 9 months–5 years) – 🌼 15 funded hours per week (eligible parents)
- Standard funded hours apply during term time (38 weeks/year).
- Parents may also choose 🌟 Stretched Funding (52 weeks) for even weekly costs.
🌟 Stretched Funding Option (52 Weeks)
- Instead of receiving all funded hours in term time, you can spread them across the full year.
How Stretched Funding Breaks Down
- 30 hours term time → 21.9 hours/week over 52 weeks
- 15 hours term time → 10.9 hours/week over 52 weeks
- This provides consistent weekly fees all year, including school holidays.
Stretched Funding Examples
Example A – 30 Hours Stretched
- 🕒 Need: 50 hrs/week (5 full days, 8am–6pm) - Funded: 21.9 hrs/week - Extra: 28.1 hrs/week - Cost: £168.60/week (all year) (28.1 hrs × £6)
Example B – 15 Hours Stretched
- 🕒 Need: 50 hrs/week (5 full days) - Funded: 10.9 hrs/week - Extra: 39.1 hrs/week - Cost: £234.60/week (all year) (39.1 hrs × £6)
⏰ Additional Hours & Fees
- If you need care beyond funded hours: - ➕ Up to 2 extra hours/day: £10/hr - 🧾 Additional hours beyond this: £6/hr - 🌞 Unfunded full day (8am–6pm): £60/day
- ⚠️ Late collection fee: £10 per half hour.
📘 Examples (Term-Time Funding)
Example – 30 Funded Hours (8am–6pm)
- Extra hours needed: 20 hrs/week
- 20 × £6 = £120/week (term time)
- During school holidays, full days will be charged at the holiday rate.

🍽️ Consumables fee:
- £20/week (30 funded hours, over 2 yrs)
